I've come to a boil!

I don't know why I'm so susceptible to these, but a boil/cyst appeared overnight in a sensitive area (to say the least) & it has put all activities on hold. Hopefully the pain & pressure will subside & it will come to a head soon. As for lancing a boil, I'm too chicken to do it myself! For some reason & for the first time, the Dr. put me on antibiotics & I have a return visit scheduled already. Walking is difficult, so running is out of the question for the near future. YUTC is looking doubtful at the moment.

Ed,
Ugh! Sorry you have to deal with this. Hope you get better soon!

Thanks Cassie!

Incredible pressure pain dominated every moment of the day, including long nights -- it felt like it would shoot all the way across the room when it was popped, but it didn't.

All is well now & I can think clearly again! And run again! YUTC is a go once more . . . come join the fun?!

Ed - Glad to hear things are better! I do want to do YUTC, but I already have plans this weekend. Since those plans involve other folks, I don't feel like I can cancel or else I'd be there. I'm putting it down on the list for next year. Can't wait to read your race report! I hope to hear this one is a bit better than HH was. Enjoy the run and best of luck!

Hey Ed.
I am going to Pinhoti.
Would to love to talk to you about it. I know the day didn't go the way you wanted, but it would still be great to get your thoughts.
Thanks.

Cassie,

I'm making it a point to enjoy this one, but won't be able to come close to matching the fun you had at your last race -- Congrats on the PR!

Tim,

I believe I wrote most of what I could remember in my blog entry: http://edibotrails.blogspot.com/2008/11/2008-pinhoti-100.html

Maybe I'll catch up with you soon at the Trail Store or at Waverly Park and we can go over a few other things.
