My wife thought I was crazy when I told her 13 miles on the trails was less stressful on the body than a 5k on the road.Jeffrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07818794133700746587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6830339355518279784.post-20596211706367383152008-12-21T17:18:00.000-05:002008-12-21T17:18:00.000-05:00Thanks Jeffro! I don't think I could ever go back to running marathon distances on the road (as you do so easily!). However, I did do better on the trails when I ran on the road regularly, but that was many years ago . . . . . .

The stomach incident still has me puzzled. I really can't believe it was the Heed, yet that was the only thing I ingested the half hour prior to the discomfort. I hope whatever caused it was just an isolated incident & I'm not going to worry about it unless it happens again.

I've been getting with Cynthia on the LLTH details -- it's slowly coming together. The camping area in the Horine section is on the gravel road that the race starts on, about a 1/4 mile on the left to the first sites. I hope to have a map of the area on the LLTH site.

Hope you did well on the 5k yesterday!edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07547250951360169480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6830339355518279784.post-31130222474578072422008-12-18T07:24:00.000-05:002008-12-18T07:24:00.000-05:00Nice race and nice report. Every race is a new experiment, start fast, start slow, walk hills, run hills, eat too much, don’t eat enough. Sometimes we get it right and other times we just gain experience. Heed is my favorite drink; I hardly touch Gatorade anymore. I’m starting to get excited about LLTH. I hope they don’t flatten it out too much. Where are the campgrounds compared to the Horine Center?

Mountain Mist looks like it could be a good course. It will be interesting to hear how it compares to LLTH.Jeffrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07818794133700746587noreply@blogger.com
